IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRIVING TO THE HOUSE:

Entering The Property (Important - Please Read)

If you are driving into the property and the entrance is on your right DO NOT try to make a right-hand turn into the property. The turn is too sharp, so your car will scrape its underside or get caught.

Instead, drive down the road a few thousand feet until you see the first driveway on your left. Pull in, back up, turn the car around and turn into the property approaching with a left-hand turn.

FAQ’s

Do I need to be in shape?

We will be doing a lot of walking and hiking up a mountain. It is important that you are able to comfortably walk miles at a time. It is not expected that we will go on all day long hikes that are over 5 miles, but we do expect to experience a variety of hikes on the property and off that call upon you to be in good walking shape. If you live in a flat area, it’s always a great idea to add some uphill walking up parking garages or adding an incline to a treadmill or using a stairmaster while preparing for this trip. It’s definitely not necessary to train like you are going to be in a race or walk up the Grand Canyon, but it is important to be in good walking shape and make an effort to ensure that before the trip. Consult with your doctor if you have back pain or other issues exacerbated by walking.

How Long is the Max Patch Hike?

Our planned hike to Max Patch is a 1.5-mile loop trail. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 30 min to summit, walking uphill through the woods and then reaching the higher peaks. We provide transportation to the trail which is about 30-40 minutes or more from the retreat house and we will all hike together.

Internet

Please note the retreat house is in a rural area, which is amazing for groups like us attempting to bond or do spiritual practice. Please note that most mobile phones will not have service in the mountains. However, you may use the house phone to make and receive calls. We are headed on this retreat to unplug but the good news is that the house just received fiber optic internet, so it is possible you will be able to text via Wi-Fi!

This is an alcohol-free and drug-free event with an emphasis on becoming more conscious and present, substance-free! Please do not bring any alcohol or drugs to this retreat as it can be triggering to those who are avoiding substances and interfere with the pure energy we are co-creating.

Let’s also UNPLUG as much as possible during the retreat. No phone during yoga and sound bath sessions please!!
